Right, got a 1200 Push Rod Card and Inlet, does it fit the 1000cc and if so, does it benifit it in any way whatsoever?

no.. i dont think it fits on. i think its something to do with 1.2 being ohc and the 1.0 being ohv or something like that but pretty sure it wont fit.
Where on earth did you find that? Using general vaux logic I would be inclined to say yes (disclaimer; I have been know to be wrong in the past), can't really see there being 2 different push rod blocks per se, just slight differences in them. Post up a pic always helps.
Early astra's had 1200OHV push rod engines.
Depends what the inlet is like, whether the spacing is the same as the 1L.
Yeah they're both Push Rods/ OHV Engines. I'm assuming the blocks are the same but no one seems to know for definate... Ah I'll give it a shot and see.
Only appears to be differences (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opel_OHV_engine) in bore and stroke
Don't you just love the Vaux part recycling ability lol
Btw, just checked Epc, and 1200ohv shares the same inlet as a 1000ohv.
But the carb has a different part number.
That might just because of a different jetting setup tho....
So it may produce a slight gain?
None at all. The carbs the same, just jetted to suit a 1.2 engine.
Spot on, we'll leave that one where it is.
