lack of power

since i put my new engine in, it doesnt seem to want to climb up hill very well,
some of you know the spec
1400 bottom end
1300 head p&p
piper bp320 cam
4 branch (standard 1300 system for the time being)

also i have the standard 1400 sr peirburg carb

would the carb be causing this lack of power?
i have a weber 32/34 to put on soon, just need the base plate

Probably the cam tbh.
A 320duration cam will lack a lot of low end pull.

Did you have the carb re-jetted?

probably would have been cheaper, im just an awquad kunt realy lol
the carb is still standard, just took it off my sr and straight on to the new engine.
my mates running T40's on his pinto, that also has a high lift cam, think its 316
more fueling a good idea?
