window removal....

not really mechanical but hey.....

i was stripping the glass out of the nova ready for paint today. got door glass out no probs, smashed front screen 'coz its having a new one anyway, but i cant get the rear side ones out. well i got one out but only because it smashed lol.

how do you remove them without breaking them?

and how much will a new rear side glass be?

you gotta prise the rubber over the metal lip on the inside all the way round with two screwdrivers

thats what i was trying to do and the glass just popped! there must be a proper method i dont know about.....

i once saw someone remove a fiesta rear quarter wiondow by just pushing it out with his feet he didnt even prise any of the rubber


i also want to know whats the correct method of refitting the side windows with sr surround in place
