easiest way smash your windscreen out and save the rubber and then cut the rubber from the other car to save damage to the windscreen easy
done that but dont want to smash the creen as it puts little shards of glass everwhere
anyone got any diy tips for removing scratches? (rather deep)

get a windscreen tool should take bout 15 mins most you just drag it all round the rubber hope that helps
anyone got any diy tips for removing scratches? (rather deep) You cant. Well, autoscreens etc can polish out VERY light ones.
A windscreen is really best left to a glass fitter. As its a difficult job
I broke 1 and was well gutted so i got my mate to fit the second 1 as he has fit a few now and it went strait in.

hand it over to the pros, it aint an easy job, anwhat if you dont seal it right and it starts to leak, shouldnt be too dear to get one fitted

It is an easy job just got to be patient otherwhise you'll crack it, if you don't want to kick the old one out just cut the rubber and lift it out and fit a new or second hand rubber when you re fit the other screen.
