CM1 is area A so low risk, thats a bonus. I think your hardest challenge will be to find a mod friendly company who will cover you - HIC are 19+ although I'm not usre about parent Flux. Try Admiral/Elephant perhaps.

Bear in mind other insurance companies might not honour a years ncb earned on a 10 month policy

TPFT is the sensible option for first time on yer own insurance. Add anyone to the policy who is over 25 and has a clean sheet etc they should bring the price down.

imho FC is a complete waste of time on a car that is worth less than about ?3K as you can sort repairs out for your own car on a 0% CC if nessecary and save the increase in insurance/lost NCB etc (assuiming you bin it on yer own lol)

also worth noting that if you pay monthly yes you get the easy option to bail out with minimal loss compared to paying in one lump, but you get charged lik 25% interest and they add VAT on (booo). If you can get one of yer folks to pay on a 0% CC and pay that off monthly and move it about then your laughing.

Actually Flux are going to charge me 5% more in total for spreading the payment over 3 months.
