theyre spot welded on iirc, whats the best way to remove them without damageing the floor underneath?:confused:

You can get spot weld drill bits ... especially for removing panels that are spot welded together, get from Machine Mart or somewhere, other than that just be very carefull with a std drill bit or get the grinder out.

I pierced the floor in the back of an old one I scrapped. Proper mess, ripped a big hole. Definately take it carefully, I used a cold chisel. Bit brutal perhaps.

ive got a spot weld drill, done one and its done exactly the same thing as a normal drill would do.... go straight through. luckily is down low so i will weld it up as neat as i can and paint it with the rest of the floor. this is a right mare, whats the trick to doing it?

Only other way is to just grind the brackets off, i ended up drilling right thru on a few of mine, just had to stick a small plate behind them then stick a bit of filler on.
