Idle speed (Please Help!!!)

I recently bought a 1.4 SR and Im totally new to the nova scene. I have found that my car seems to idle at about 500rpm. This cant be right and sometimes it cuts out! Im getting a bit annoyed at the fact it keeps cutting on me! How do I fix it?Please help.

You need to adjust the idle switch, i had to do the same on mine as it was idling too high . Can't think as to where it was now but its to the top left of the air filter .

Relatively easy too adjust.
Mine still idles very hight (Between 2000 -2300) first thing in the mornin.

Is this Autochoke ?

yeh autochoke warming up the car, tap the acclerator after 2 mins or so and it should sit back to 800-1100 rpm wotever u have your normal idle speed at :)

nothin really noticeable, as will said, it drops back to normal after two odd mins.
Lot of fuel in the sense i have a full s\s zorst system though .
