iv'e got a redtop nova running a full astra GTE wiring loom so every thing just bolts down and plugs in as if it was still in the astra. digi dash obviously just plugs in and everything works spot on except for the milometre. im not a super duper clued up electrics man and i cant think why the milometre wont work. anyone know anything???
have you connected up the mechanical drive to the clocks and gearbox?

A big thick flexible cable that goes from the gearbox, through the bulkhead to the back of the digidash.
The connection pins are probably dodgy where the mechanical milometer connects to the pcb on the dash.
If the speedo's working the transducer is fine.
it would be a cable that runs from the clocks to the gearbox... where there would have been one in the nova originally
Hmm, but if the speedo works, the transducer/drive/cable is fine?

i used a different set of digi clocks and the milometre still doesn't work so i doubt its the clocks themselves

mines the same, tried different clocks also.
there is no speedo cable on astra gte digi dash
I had the same problem, and my mate does currently. I used to take the odemetre out and clean it with electrical spary and refit. It would work fine for about 250 miles and then stop again. In the end I just bought a broken digidash on the hope the odemetre bit was OK and swapped them over, so I made one good dash from two.
