View Full Version : combustion chamber volume?
does anyone know the combustion chamber volume of a 1.2 carb head and a 1.4 sri head?
take the overall cc and divided by 4 wouldnt you?

He didn't mean the overall displacement lol, just the chamber in the head where the valves and spark plug sit.
CC is based on cylinder size. He wants chamber volume.
At a guess Burgo they should be quite similar, as the 1200carb has the almost the same bore(0.2mm different) as a 1400. Just depends "how deep" the chamber is.
CC is based on cylinder size.no **** sherlock lol but as Xen0phobiak said i only want the combustion chamber volume

can get a reallly really rough idea from my updated compression ratio section of sig link site ;)

I was referring to Mike  lollol
i think ive cracked it roughly. and i get a 3cc difference which should take my compression ratio from 9.2:1 to 8.6:1
turboing a 1.2? good man!
nope im bored and have a 1.2, 1.4 sri head, gte twin 40 inlet, yzf r6 throttle bodies and a megasquirt ;)
8.6:1 will mean a big pile of **** for driveability and a major loss of power
i know but i cant be assed to work out how much to have skimmed off. you can for me if you wish lol
lmfao ill see what the engineer shop says to that
