i will be looking to put this engine into my 1.2i nova at some point this year, doing the conversion will not be a problem as the mechanics at work will help us, but i would like someone to write down what i need to get the engine to work?

the engine i want is the 1.6 8v gte
the car it will be transplanted to is a 1993 1.2i lux plus

because i ve seen a few on ebay with the engine + box
COMPLETE WITH ALL PIPE WORK, ECU, STARTER MOTOR, WIRING LOOM, DISTRIBUTOR, AIR FLOW METER AND ALL OTHER ANCILLARIES?
what else is required ?
and how much should i be looking at buying this engine for?

all help apprricated ty

my engine/box/loom/ecu cost me ?75, 4-1 manifold cost me ?35, AFM ?8, K&N brand new kit ?38

i used my SR shafts, my SR mounts, and then got a XE fuel pump brand new for ?25 and a MPi fuel tank for fcuk all.

Youll need the GTE/GSi lower 2 radiator hoses too, i forgot this an ended up buying ?60 worth of silicone ones instead. You can use the 1.6 Rad & fan (tis bigger then normal nova ones), but the 1.4's will do it fine on a 1.6 TBH.

As you said

ENGINE AND GEARBOX INC. ALL ANCILLARIES (LOOM,ECU, STARTER, ALTERNATOR, COIL, EXHAUST MANIFOLD, IF NOT THE WHOLE SYSTEM etc.)

Your driveshafts will fit, you would need bigger brakes than the 1.2i ones.

Then just remember antifreeze, g box oil, sevie engine, brake fluid, hose clips, etc.

Pay about ?60-150 for engine, usually 100, also 16v brakes are 40-50 and cant be recommended enough! then oils, service etc allow 100 for other bits and bobs, new cone filter for example.
