What happened to old white wheels? They were one of the best features of the car imo.
Still looks very tidy anyway, good to see the bay still looking nice and clean.

still in my garage looking minty mint but they just too smaller wheel when trying to transfer 280bhp threw the front wheels + the speedline where cheap and once painted white will look awesome as i think they suit GTE's better than other models.
There will be some other stuff altered in the engine bay as i'm gonna be removing engine to fit LSD in gearbox and to get some parts powder coated:thumb:
Ahh, i missed the bit about doing the wheels white.
Cool, they'll look much better in that colour.

Nice one. Loving mk1's at the moment.
Put a white pin stripe in the bumpers when the wheels go white.

thats sexual and 280brake;)
personaly id leave the wheels, the car just works soo well nothing needs to be changed imo.
plus white wheels are a pita to keep clean...
Nah, the wheels need to be white.
As it is, it just looks like a gte with speedlines, basically nothing "different" to any other gte.(Apart from the Let,Lol)
The wheels will look much cooler white. :)
Looks stunning imo! saw it on passionford for sale i think?? Very hard to come by in that cond nowadays.
Ive seen this over on P/F Glad it's still looking sweet.
Has this gone BANG ??

this nova is stunning. thats the way i wanted my nova (in black) before i bought a gsi kit. ha ha.
not too sure about the wheels going white, might look good when done but if it was my car the wheels would be staying silver.
love the car!! well done.

Have to disagree, I have 15s on mine with 195/50/15 tyres an more power. Depends what pressure your running and your choice of tyre.

nope dodgy oil pressure sender:D
Engine and box is out while i fit a LSD & ARP bolts so i know bottom end is gonna be tough enough for what i plan to throw at it:thumb:

has Yokohama A539's 195/45/15 running at 28 psi front & 26psi rear
as soon as i fitted the speedlines it drove so much nicer and isn't as bumpy:thumb:

looking good, i knew this car when bruce had it, impressive figures from the 1.6 8v!
didn't think you'd need to remove the engine for diff and rod bolts?

You have to remove the F28 to split it in half to fit the diff so its as easy to just take the engine out.
Looks really nice, think the Speedlines look great as they are.
Personally i'd lose the Speedline's - they are nice, but far too common imo, i perfere the oringinal ASA wheels:

Needs a mk2 dash putting in too.
 never it'll totally spoil it original looks
If money permitted i'd fit Comp Mo's but just can't justify the price for them over speedlines
looking good matt! them charge coolers any good then?
