thinking of selling my gte redtop. i want standard 1.6 gte or a tuned 1.4 on carbs
what do you think its worth honestly?

spec:
2.0 16v gte
new lmf hubs&shafts
standard engine good runner
2 new tyres on front
clear lights all round
6 months mot no tax
only bits of rust are on the boot and door
have spare boot and door in vgood order

ive wanted a xe nova for a long time now ive had one i think id rather have a small block nova, cheaper to tune and easier to work on.

opinons please:thumb:

youve not had this car long have you? When i was looking for a project earlier in the year this came up on ebay and i was really keen to bid but it did look a bit 'not that well/ 100% looked after'..
But its a nice car or still could be. You should easily see over ?1,000..
Its been up on ebay since i first saw it so i don't know how many times its sold lately..

ive have put it on ebay a couple of times but keep having a change of heart,
you are right it hadnt been looked after, the last owner (ford lover) he just wanted it to go fast, i love the mk1 nova so thats why ive tried to get it back to standard looks
ive looked on ebay and tidy ones go for ?2000ish
thanks for the comments :thumb:

?600-800

Less if there is no MOT or Tax...

You reasons for selling dont fill me with confidence either!

1.6's are not cheaper to tune! You will need to spend ???? getting them as quick as an XE

cheaper to tune "yes" but for less gains so ?/bhp is worse on a small block.

hell just sell the 16V lump and fit a small block..... if thats why you want to sell.

Or just swap it with Last of the Nova SR's . He has just realised he wants a Big block powered car after installing a small block 1600i. Just a thought.

Otherwise I'd say thats worth about a grand as most people would want to tidy it up somewhat.
