Main beam not working

Im sure this is a simple one, but im not the best with electrics, basically main beam works on my nova when the headlights are on but not when there off.

I.e when you want to flash someone to let them out of a junction etc..

Everything else works fine.

Switch sounds to be at fault, check the connections, failing that replace it.

i had a similar problem.. it was a duff light/indicator stalk.

mines would change when the lights were on but wouldnt flash when lights were off or on dip..

my mates also got a similar prob with his nova and he has to really force it back for it to flash..might aswell try that mate..
