Picked up a set of 5 GM Ronal 3 spoke jobbies on the weekend and very happy BUT they've got stamped on them ET 47.5.

WTF does this mean???

Now you see why I put this in the muppet corner! :thumb:

Its the offset of the rim, et45 to et49 is generally vauxhall fitment.

Its something to do with the distance between the centre of the rim, and the hub face.

they be early 3 spokes before GM went down their 45/49 route.

So why did GM faff about with offsets?? Why not all 49mm??

I've got about 9 ET47.5 ones lol.

I don't know why they produced them in different offsets, but I'm guessing they were cheaper to produce in ET49 later on.

et47.5 are off GSi's & SRi's. et49mm ones are SR & GTE ones.

It was because of the different brake calipers on GSI's. Whats 1.5mm these days?
