I READ THAT SOME GUY IS SELLING HIS NOVA ON THIS SITE SOMEWHERE AND HE SED IT ONLY GOES 102MPH AND SOME1 EARLIER TOLD ME IT GOES 110MPH. CAN SOME1 PLZ TELL HOW FAST THE CAR GOES!

av a look in general chat forum under Benji's post for 1.3 and 1.4 0-60. the website is www.pngregion4.co.uk - gives 1/4 mile times - it may give top speed - unsure. Would say different 1.3's will go faster depending on their history - I'd reckon between 110 - 120 depending on wots been done to em. I've a 1.2 - had 105 out of it - a while ago mind. I like to drive chilled nowadays...
Good luck with your goal to find the ultimate speed for a 1.3 - let us know your overall figure - I'm intreagued...

well i found 106mph on one web site earlier and it sed 0-60 was 10.8 secs.
ade could a get a nova 1.3sr just over a 110mph if i tuned it up a bit.

depends wot u did to the engine. Does it have any mods (K&N, exhaust etc). Tuning may improve performance a bit but at the higher speed unsure whetha it would do enough. Depends on condition of the engine. Youd rag it senseless if you stayed there too long. Why not go into Vauxhall garage - they'd give u a straight answer. Why u so keen to get car over 110mph? Why not just get a bigga engine car for same money? Or some nitros!

The nova SR is geared for 120 mph, the only problem is that it doesnt have enough torque to beat the wind resistance. so you will probably only get it to 110 mph, unless you tuned it.

sr novas have low diff ratios for acceleration. if you want to go really fast buy a 1.2merit. they have taller gearing.
or stop being obsessed with on paper figures.
Its not how fast you get to a ton that counts its how long you keep it there.
