gear linkage shaft

after getting really fooked off, seeing as the old owner bodged a large block linkage in there, my small block wont fit any more, and it wont grip, thanks a lot mate :mad:

i want to take the shaft of my old td, i have no idea how, and no haynes book lol

so can i have a step by step please :thumb:
just the rod that goes under the car :)

i think that it is just a case of lifting the gear stick gater up then undoing the 4 bolt and should drop out the bottom of the car.

Thats right, the 4 bolts in the floor pan will drop the whole selector, stick, knob & shaft out of the car. Just replace the whole lot.
