raced my mates pug 205 1.4 xs (k+n filter only mod), and lost. i have a brand new (fully reconditioned) 1.3 engine. as per usual i have v.little money, but i need to do something to improve power. was thinking of getting this xr2 carb that everyone has been taking about-will this be enough?
also my mechanic said i had to do 2,000 miles without really going above 3,000 r.p.m. to wear the engine in, ive done 1300 miles and i was completely thrapeing it to keep up with him. have i caused any damage by doing this??

no damage done to the engine I imagine, even tho lo-tech engines like the 1.3 SR need a fair bit of coking up to protect them from overzealous drivers, they r pretty robust.

as far as the "haynes" carb manual sez the XR2 was fitted with a 28/32 (i think) but im sure its still better than the pierburg thing.

webber just made carbs for any manufacturer so they are interchangeable (with rejetting) but for some reason an adaptor plate is needed
