View Full Version : Nova vs Skyline whole session
Complete Session (http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=-4967864758202786497)
I decided to upload this vid since it ends well enough. I didn't bother using the whole session before since the first part of the session the car is running on three cylinders, but at about 7mins in the plug clears and its all smiles.
The blue RS turbo that mostly features in the vid is my dads car. Its the car that spawned the creation of my Nova since I wanted to build a faster car than his to piss him offlol Works like a charm.
Its amusing watching it back and seeing my body language change from hitting the car and just being annoyed with it to woohoo!!:D
brilliant mate! wicked video!
you know that the skyline driver was not amused to see you back in his mirrors.
As for you dads car i know it's fwd and ive been in it but it handles like a rwd by the looks of things on that vid.

awsome dar did bt noble it so he had a chance of keeping up (i remember the quarter time lol)
Cool clip, any genre on the Skyline ?
I presume its a GTR but was it standard ?
Are you using a sccr in that clip ?
As mentioned though it does go very well on 3 still !
I was running a standard F20 box last year. I found the car on the GT-R Register after that day to see what it was.
Shes Back!!! < States the power figures (http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/47478-shes-back.html)
The thread where I posted the vid clip for him (http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/53417-pug.html?highlight=pug)
Although it looks quick when running on 3cyls, it felt painfully slow:cry:
EDIT: Then there was this (http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/53497-r33-track-video.html) thread that started to go the usuall route when this video is posted. That is until someone points out whos Skyline it is.
To be fair though you really can't compare the two cars. Mine is stripped out, lite weight and track focused. The Skyline is a road car. A very fast road car, but it has interior and all the gubbins that you associate with a road car. It would beat my car in every other situation.

excellant driving dar great fun to watch your attitude change completeley lol credit to your dad aswell his seems very well setup
Nice one Dar, I only ask as a few of my mates now have GTR's and from a passenger point of view they are extremely fast with only minor mods (power fc)
Excellent stuff dar, was a good feeling after it clearded up, I remember from llandow last year going in out in my car thinking I was pushing it, then to have you and lee come flying past me like I was standing still.
Your suspension setup's obviously working well as I was constantly going wide under full throttle!

To be fair Steve, you were making yours work very well, i remembers thinking to myself your lines were spot on. Not bad for your first day on track :thumb:
Oh ok cheers! lol
Just more power I need then!
Well the track day took its toll - had to get the tracking done afterwards, but the guy didnt want to do it till the lower arms got replaced, now got to do the cv boots before its back in use. Oh yeah then gotta get the paddenger side sill replaced.
