IIRC they state a sub 3 second 0-60 dont they?

Everytime I've seen it though its performance has been pants!

Yeah it usually snaps driveshafts....... But it did record a mental 0-60 at TRAX a couple years back which allegedly proves its worthy.

I've seen it do a few runs at POD & TRAX & to be fair it does shift.

I think it was 2.6 seconds to 60, hardly pants performance. I believe it still holds the quickest 0-60 time for a road car at Silverstone.

PEESTER: no point to the thread just asking about it. is that ok.

I have the issue of max power that its in. i would never throw it away. is the car still about. its a serious piece of engineering.

It lives in Germany. Was built (or finaced) 50/50 by Regal & EDS.

Find the EDS site & theres plenty of videos of it. (there used to be)

Youd do the same and claim you built it if you get to look after it for a few months a year and parade it round as yours to get advertising......

Forgot to mention, it came to a meeting that I organised a couple of years back. For all the mixed comments the Regal guys get, it was really good of them to come up to Milton Keynes with the car. They even brought some goodies for us which we used to give to people for a small show and shine competition.

Its got a pair of phase 3.5 tuned LETS.

The gear change (linkage to rear) is crap on it IIRC, hence most of its troubles.

they spent months trying to get the gear linkage to work properly. they use a hydraulic system for it. the shel must have serious reinforcements. he used a calibra subframe on the back to hold the rear engine. the underneath of it is just full of big water pipes. its unreal. i love this car

Agree totally - The first attempt used rods and pivots - was quite agricultural in its operation

The last time I saw it - they had addressed this problem by changing to F23 gearbox's (Cable change) - They changed the gear lever to one off a VX220 but modified to run front cable change as well - Not sure whether it improved the gear change totally - but a step in the right direction :thumb:
