1.6 into 1.4

this one is for my brother,he would like to know would there be much benefit from fitting my soon to be old 1.6 GTE bottom end into his nova 1.4sri (corsa engine) he will be using is own head and injection system,then getting it rolling roaded.

it will all fit ok but.....
the gte doesnt have the crank position sensor, u would need to swop all the crank+pulley wheels, as the teeth r a different shape, and the temperature sensor is a different thread, he would b much better off finding a late gsi bottom end!!!!
(i have 1 in the garage and im very tempted to sell it, its off a 1.6 16v, shud fit with no probs ;)

funny that is cause im gonna be stickin a GTE bottom end on my SRi, must be something in the air. just waiting for a quote on the cost of borin it out.

get your brother to email me and we can compare strategies :D
