drilling holes for neons

I recently fitted neons to my car ( underneath) and they look the dogz, thing is should I put some silicone sealant or hammerite round the screws to stop water getting in and starting to rust !!!

If youve got a touch up kit for your cars paintwork you should stick some paint around the hole.
Could try putting some thim foam under the neons, like the foam you get under side repeaters.
