Oil Pressure

Hi,

I have a nova with a W reg 1.4 16v corsa sport engine and a digital dash.
Today the oil pressure warning tell tail light started to flash when the rev's were below 2500. I have checked the wire to the oil pressure switch but want to see what the oil pressure is.
I have found the wire for the oil pressure gauge but it isn't connected. Where is the sensor on the engine?
What would make the oil pressure drop like that? There is plenty of oil in her and she is running fine.

the bad connection might be making the light come on?
i think the sensor is down the back of the engine, by the corner of the bottom pulley!
