xe cam belt/lifters

i was changing the hydraulic lifters earlier and noticed that there wasnt a spring on the tensioner can you buy these seperatly or as a whole unit, this is two red tops i have worked on and both of them havent had them is there any reason why??

Only early xe's have the spring tensioner.
Later ones have a roller tensioner.
