is a 1400 astra lump the same as a 1400 SR?

i think it is yea, maybe the gearbox is different i cant remember!!

well I can take any bits that are different off of a worn SR lump, going to look at some at the breakers at 3pm

the astra 1400 came in carb or single point injection so if its the crab engine its the same as an sr engine and gearbox will suit too. :D

got one now,and no front to my car as I removed alot of it to drop the engine in,I now have my v own hoist!- once this engines in Im on the save for a gte lump to tune the nuts off to drop in end of summer if all goes well,although the amount of probs I had with this nova I have been considering getting a corsa,someone stop me!
