Right I have owned this saxo now since January 2006. It started it’s life as a standard 1998 ‘S’ Reg VTR when I bought it minus window tints and a backbox. Since then I have spent over ?4000 on it with general up keep and making sure it got the best treatment, with every job done professionally at a peugeot/citreon specialist.
Right before I get onto the description of the car, the reason behind the engine conversion was due to the clutch dying on me due to normal wear over the years (original clutch), sticking in a vts engine then camming it etc, but since then I’ve had a change of heart, anyways onto the description of the car:
Engine:
• VTS engine and gearbox from a W’reg single plugged saxo (covered 27,000 miles) went for single plug due to them being the best for running standalone ECU’s and camming. Purchased from axo16v (tam on SSC) so anyone that knows him will know how good these engines and other bits purchased from him are :)
• BMC DIA induction kit – Brand new, was fitted when conversion was done.
• New cambelt and tensioners when engine fitted
• New valeo clutch kit fitted
• New lightened and Balanced flywheel
• New alternator belt
• NGK iridium spark plugs fitted (these are ?50 new so are top quality goods)
• New gearbox oil and seals
• Engine completely flushed and a topped up with new oil
• VTS radiator fitted
• Fuel return line fitted
So as engine was being fitted it went through a COMPLETE service, and had things like VTS radiator and fuel lines fitted so no corners were cut during conversion :)
Suspension:
• Bilstein Streetline kit
• Eibach Pro Kit (30mm lowering)
• Rear torsion bar lowered 40mm
Exhaust System:
• Raceland S/S 4-2-1 Manifold
• Janspeed S/S Sportscat
• Custom Cat-back exhaust system in S/S, no silencer with a 4” outward rolled tailpipe. Sounds very nice when car has warmed up (nice deep grumble)
Brakes:
• EBC Green Drilled and grooved disks and pads
Interior:
• Standard VTR interior
• Center console, glovebox handle and speaker grills sprayed in red
ICE:
• Alpine 9847r CD/MP3 Headunit with Alpine Ipod adaptor
• 5 ? Uprated kenwood door speakers
• Macrom 44.07 2 channel Amp (powering sub)
• Kenwood sub in enclosed box
Would say this would be a good starter sound system, also parcel shelf is untouched (no crappy 6x9 holes etc)
Security:
• Standard VTR alarm and immobiliser
Exterior:
• Completely standard, except for the rear window tints
Bad Bits:
• Been keyed down passenger side (only gone through paint 5cm long) rest is faint mark
• 2 small dents on the boot
• Dent in drivers rear quarter under window
• Small scratches on tip of bonnet
• Small chip on front bumper
• Scratch to the rear bumper although not really visible
All above were on car when bought, except keyed and chip in front bumper
After ?2100 o.n.o, price reflects bad points
