Hi All, Just a few pics to share with you from totb at elvington today, was a good day and probably the busiest totb ever, Ive never seen the car park so full! Some awesome cars in attendance, A few cars managing 200mph plus on top speed runs and 9.8 qtr mile drags etc! Nice to see quite a few vauxhalls within all the super expensive jap stuff etc! All in all a good day sadly my camera battery died half way through but heres a few pics, enjoy! Nick.

That white Cossie Mk1 is a weapon, its from near me, the guy had it in at work for a photo shoot for Retro Ford mag, 560 bhp !!

Rich, Im not sure were he finished but we watched him on the handling circuit, he really goes for it, the back end was all over the place excellent entertainment! I had a good luck round both mk1 escorts and they are both a work of art truly stunning.

R1CH, it didn't make it into the Finals, but there were some ultra fast RX7's and Skylines running in RWD.

Both of them looked stunning as Nick has said above !

Was a good day, I did better than I was expecting to after all the problems Ive been having. Did a few dud runs but managed to pull my best time against a cossy i was sure i was going to get somoked by lol. I got a 12.2@123 (think it was). However that was my slowest terminal speed, I was getting 125-127mph over the line on most of the others which was the fastest out of the vauxhalls not sure on what the rest were getting though, but i was having trouble getting it off the line an my 60ft times werent very good at all.

Last time we looked vauxhalls were at 3rd, 5th (me), 6th, 7th an 8th on the 1/4 mile which is a damn good result.

Also I made the shoot out final along with a tigra, another corsa and a mk2 golf. I went against the golf in the final and ran a 12.4 against his 11.9 i think it was. The tigra went through to go against the golf but blow a boost hose off.

Also did the top speed run but i topped it out in 6th quite a few hundred meters before the finish an it didnt feel right so i backed off, an because of that I didnt get a speed.

That thing was crazy fast round Coombe at Japfest......Also burst into flames while going round. The front end looked pretty fooked then.

Good to see the times are coming down Phil, I wouldn't know where to start trying to get it off the line well with all that power. Must be pretty difficult but very enjoyable :)

The surface was very poor and my 60ft times were down 0.2-0.4 from pod so that run I did yesterday would have been a 11 second at pod which is annoying. The tigra an golf were both running launch control as fair as im aware, hence why they were getting off the line a lot quicker.


Also my clutch waved a little white flag an gave up mid day, was in two minds whether to do the shootout but went ahead anyway an still did a 12.4 and my brakes are warped as fook after slaming on at 130mph time an time a again.

Not bad times at all especially with the clutch on its way, you'll be hoping to break into the 11's soon though! What speed did you get to when you topped out in 6th?

That Blue Nova van has a huuuge turbo. Apparently an even bigger one was on it the night before, but they killed it whilst live mapping it the night before so had to swap to a smaller one.

I guess Phil will need a standalone ECU in order to run launch control?

i couldnt make it but my mate barnes went down with his corsa and done well, he was 3rd at one point then his car decided to bugger lol, shame really as i think he would have done alot better later in the day.he finished 7th in the fwd class i think?
