Air filter

I am planing to skim, port and polish the head on my nova sr, i have got a bolt on filter from a mate, but with no jet, can i get away with the origional jet or will it run crap, if so what size jet is needed, it is a pierburg carb.

original will work but when all the modding is done, pop down to a rolling road. My mate paid ?105 in basildon and for that it was in there for an hour being worked on AND they replaced his jets for the correct ones. He got an extra 20bhp. I'd say thats your best option m8e
