Inlet and Exhaust Valve Sizes

Hi,

I believe I am running a 1600 head (8v) in standard form, and due to the cam snapping I have bent the valves, now that the valves are out, the inlet valves measure about 38mm and the exhaust (cant remember actual size) but was about 2-3mm bigger than 1300 valves which I was going to sue to replace them.

Could anybody confirm my suspicions that this is a 1600 head with the valve sizes stated...and from what, astra, nova etc?

Does any other engine have valves of this size, or is there anywhere you could recommend for new replacements??

Standard 1600 mpi 8v head has 35mm inlets, and 32mm exhausts.

1300 head has 33 inlets and 29 exhaust iirc.

OK, Ive since found that I require 1600 GTE valves, when measured across the head of the valves, they are the same size as what I have.

Does anybody know where can I source a set of these?

Your local motor factors should be able to help you out mine were very helpful. Failing that try cylinder head refurb places, engineering firms etc as they will supply them.

Get the part number off the valve if possible to avoid any potential mix up
