Long boring post alert lol
Having a couple of problems on ebay at the mo, would appreciate some advice...
1 - Bought some nova parts back in April, and after not hearing anything for about a week I then had an email from the seller saying the item was damaged, would I like a refund. Said yes, and since then all I've had is a couple of replies to email reminders saying he'll look into it the following day, then nothing. No replies to recent emails - I'd give him the benefit of the doubt thinking he might not have access to a PC at the mo, but he's currently active on ebay listing more items! Paypal/ebay won't help as its over 45 days old, although ebay will look into it but charge me ?15 - the value of the items was only ?17! Anything else I can do aside from let it go and write the money off?
2 - I bought a "dvd game" when over in Oman, but when I got back to blighty realised it was in NTSC format (wouldn't work, so checked the box - says NTSC lol). D'oh! So I sold it on ebay. The winning bidder now says it won't work on his american PS2, has accused me of selling pirated games, and wants a refund - in the ebay listing I made it clear that it wouldn't work on any of my UK equipment so was sold as untested, and that I assumed it to be NTSC as thats what it said on the box. Although I put PS2 in the title, I hadn't explicitly listed it as a PS2 game; it does have the PS2 style info panel on the back (dual shock compatible, 1-4 players etc) but said on the front "DVD game" - so thats how I listed it. Full detail of the front and back of the box was shown in the listing. So do I give the guy a refund? For all I know it could be fine, he's just copied it and is trying to pull a fast one; but it could genuinely be duff - I don't know as I have no NTSC stuff to test it with!
