Well i race bangers at the moment and really can't be bothered any more with getting cars, stripping, racing, weighing them in etc. etc.

so i've decided to go into a formula called rookie rods, basically 1.2 nova's, 1.3 fiestas from mk1 to mk3

non contact can't do much to the engine etc. etc.

so heres the first part.

picked up the nova K reg 1.2 single point hardly no rust just abit round the rear arches but not to bad, stripped allready just had to remove door handles, and stuff on the boot lid.

will post pictures but don't have access to do it yet!!!!!!

You want a 1.2 carb engine ;) Those mk1 & 2 1.3 feista's fly. How much can you do to the engine then?

i got a 1.2 engine coming, but will take the single point out n rebuild it for a spare.

as to what you can do to the engine, 1mm over bore and skim head, everything must be standard

Engine bay currently with 1.2 single point in. Leaking oil so a full rebuild of this will happen

Couple of wheels which were used as a seat, 2 was to high for me so one was put in place so i could move it about

First step of the prep work, cut drivers door out. This will allow the chicken bars on the roll cage to extend into the door skin for drivers protection.

Not quite finished, just need to tidy up round the edges n finish cutting front part out

Next step will be to take engine out on saturday. Will update then!!!!

not much has gone on since last time, engine has gone and now fuel tank and old exhaust has also gone.

been shopping though, a nice new cobra race seat supporting 5 point harness, shocks for front and rear. new 15inch steering wheel with boss for quick release.

over weekend just gone i had washed inside n out and installed rear suspension, just waiting on front springs to arrive so i can put in the front shocks!!!!
