The switch is fine because I have 2 which I'm sure they're good. I think that it is something from the loom. Can you tell me where the hazard/indicator loom is? If you have pictures of what I can do is better.
It sounds like your hazard relay has packed up. it is at the bottom of the fuse box.

when I switch on the indicator the bulb near the clocks remains lit and no indicators will work, the strange part is that when I turn on my alarm the indicators do work normally (on off on off)
i would try the relay if you can grab 1 from a breakers yard should do.
yeah deffo sounds like the relay to me aswell
The bit that I'm finding odd is that normal operation is resuming with the alarm activated, has the alarm been added recently?
yeah but the alarm wont use the relay , it will just be a 12 volt output to the indicators which will make them flash
I was presuming activate alarm, then try the stalk.
As oppose to activate alarm, alarm trips indicators.

no no it was installed 7 months ago, and everything was good, shoud I try to change the relay?
i would give it a go bud.
