just drop it on 60mm springs mate if your not changing the engine to a 2ltr yet, thats what mines on an it works a treat, cheaper aswell.

it's a mint shell, what a catch, and what a project it can be. :d

looks solid mate, dont just use springs to lower it though , buy a used full set if you are trying to keep the costs down ,

is it your first motor though, if it is then id suggest minimum mods , to help keep insurance down for the first couple of years really , worth it in the long run :thumb:

its my first car and im only 17 so dont want to be modding it too much because of the insurance, and there isnt any rust on the shell either so thats the best part. just need to fix the doors which arnt the best so they will have all the rust cut out and get welded up. was thinking about some gsi skirts but dont know how they are fitted and dont want to be drilling holes anywhere. anyone got any opinions on wheels?

Skirts can be fitted by bonding on & not drilling & rivetting. Sometimes the plain look is more desirable though, esp with the smaller bumper/

As for wheels, the best option is some 14 or 15" GM Vauxhall wheels from a Astra or Cavalier. They fit without needing to fold or grind back the arch lips & dont upset the handling.

If you're bonding the skirts on, make sure to use a decent strength adhesive - tiger seal or suchlike should see you good.
