Now another one, I was told these pistons were for a 1.6 16v corsa engine, may even be Mahle replacements I can't remember. They fit my 1.6 8v block the same as the 8v pistons, and appear the same hieght. There from a 16v something as theres 4 valve marks on the top. Anyway Burgo recons there not, so I don't know. help

Look like flat top Cossie pistons for the Grp-A E16SE.... maybe?

They aint 16v pistons, even with standard 16v cams the pistons are pocketed for valve clearence.

the x18xe 16v from 1998 onwards looks very similar with a bore of 80.5 as std. I have a pdf of the kolbenschmidt (they make a lot of OE) pistons catalogue if you are interested

the pistons came from John Perate when I had my crank and stuff done. After seeing a picture of a 16v piston (cheers burgo) I don't have a clue what there for.

I was thinking they could be for a later 1.6 8v, as used in astra mk4's. The marks on top do look like 4 valve dents tho.

Starting to annoy me now, if they are Cozzie pistons as Graig said then I'll be really pissed off (just built my new bottom end)

the thing is with the "marks" they could be just that, marks where the piston has said hello to the valves
