this car was bought as a 1.0 corsa to reshell all the parts from my opel corsa a gsi that my friend wrote of on me.... swaped dash everything i could, its so long ago now, possible 4 years since i started building this car that i forgot most of it and have lost the old pics of the original rebuild...
the car was striped and painted to a very high standard and rust proofed by a painter which has since sadly died, part of me wants to finish this car for him, he never seen it finishd why sadens me... he spent many hours at it rip patsy...

it was then left to dan dalys in dunshauglin where it was rebuilt and modified, this engine was very fast
the money i spent on this car would amaze you, 4 days after the original rebuild the water pip came of the rad and bang engine gone, 2nd rebuild, this lasted another while but 2 f13 gearboxs didnt, then bang engine gone again due to much oil, 3rd rebuild, this time i made the mistake of goin to some1 else, car lasted not even 1000 miles and just died mysteriuosly, in the meantime id givin it to some cowboy to wire in 5 splitfire gauges, he butcherd them in and 2 weeks later the dashloom went on fire while driving it, dash back out new loom and i was in buisness again...

so i bought a astra gsi while waitin to get the nova goin again, then got a s14a, waitin nearly a year to get it over to the mechanic that built it to do something with it, he finallt took it and i thought bingo, sold the blown engine box and loom to nova gsi[mick] as i was gona put a red top in it, then came across a courteney turbo 1.6 turbo engine at christmass, craig greens old engine, flew to london and bought a white gsi and put the courteney engine in the booth and drove from london to hollyhead like a madman lol, he said hed do it over xmas, then end of jan and feb and so on, the main prob was gettin it seem welded and put the plating kit on to cope with the strain, no1 up this end of the country has much experience with these unfortunatly

the engine is rebuilt as ye know, so after the car was broken in2, keyed and gauges riped out i said fcuk this and took it outa his yard and brought her home, i have some1 who said theyd stich weld it and plate it and fit the engine but he is very busy, it could be chritmass be4 its done....
this is why i just wanted to put bk in a gsi engine and just drive the car, any1else would have just lost patience with it, but i really do love this car, even with all the other more advanced machinery iv had, nothing put such a smile on my face as this car, only the twin cam ae86 corolla comes close, its sittin in the bkround of the 1st pic funily enough lol

heres some pics of how it lies 2day, gave it a quick wash 2day, i no its a bit tatty lookin but you have to remember this car hasnt being drivin in 2 years, its still extremely solid as mick will tell ya,no rust anywhere and never welded, newgsi skirts, rear bumper and boothlid and all it needs is a touch up here and there and a engine wired in2 it.....i probably 4got loads but ye get the picture,iv deceieded to keep the turbo engine now and finish it properly,
i swear to fcuk lads it nearly brings a tear to my eye....
this is how it looks 2day after a quick wash, should really have treated it to a polish..

I've 3 sets of new GSI skirts on there wrappers. But i paid big money for one set from england a few months back, and got the other sets from germany.

Clean GSI? I've not seen one for years. Your better off with a base model and just reshell a GSI into it.

Ah my old engine! Car looks nice S14- like the colour & nice one for sorting some tidy skirts & bumper.

That engine is fantastic when going nicely.

Only probs I encountered were my own fault.... (below)

I would advise that you have the fuel injectors professionally cleaned before using it.

Before I stripped it down I thought I'd popped it again & after totally stripping it I found it was the induction pipe that had split, (hose from AFM to turbo). Therefore it sucks in un-metered air & coughs & splutters & underfuels.

I also found a cracked block too but that wasnt why I stripped it.
