Right i have clear lights on my nova

id like them to be red.. could i paint them red, or am i best of buying a set of them red ones?

if i was to paint what paint would i need?


if i was to buy some were can i get them from?

Mask off the bottom half and give them a light dusting with some red tinting spray :thumb:

just buy new ones , it will look tidier and not bodged mate

sell the clears on ebay, buy some standard rear clusters, mask off the black bits and spray with red tinting spray from halfrauds/ripspeed. job done and you'll actually end up with more money than when you started lol

it wouldnt loook as good imo.. using the standerd ones..

imo the clears would look better painted..

get red ones - dont use the spray - its nasty and get it wrong and you'll lose 30%+ off the brightness of the bulbs - police dont like it either...

My rears are tinted black and I've driven for 3 years with them on various different cars and never been pulled over. Also sailed through mot's at 3 different mot stations with them on without any questions. They are similar in darkness to Ford Sierra's.

I would agree though the proper red ones do look better than tinted versions.

theres mine when i did the standard lights with red spray.

the right one looks a little dark but its just the crappy camera i had at the time
