my let is smoking quite abit and am asuming itll be valve stem oil seals, so bought a head gasket set,

but could i put thicker oil or summit in to cut down the smoking just to put it through an mot? as i aint got time to be taking heads off at the mo.
or even that stuff that swells your oil seals?

Bear in mind it could also be the impeller seal starting to go. Not always head related when a tubby starts burning oil.

im not that clever with engines.... impeller seal? that like the turbo? :S lol

The turbo/air compressor oil seal.
Meaning oil will be getting through to your exhaust, or into the boost pipes and tb.

Do you have a IC fitted? If so remove the boost pipe and see if theres any oil in it.

When does it smoke? on Overrun? Under load? At idle?

Yep sounds like the turbo seals, mine used to smoke its tits off when it was warm on idle, also used to put a lot of oil thru the intake pipes / intercooler.
Only options are to get yours reconned or sack the sh*tty kkk16 off and get your self a new manifold and Garrett turbo for it !! ;)

looks like al be on the look out for a new turbo then lol, and yeah rich why not got for summit bigger while am there! lol
