as above, it seems to be making that kinda noise when on low revs at idle, e.g 750/800, is this bad? im thinking so any advice? its a 1.2, having done 73k

its dead mate!
go scource a nive 1.4 sr lump for transplant

well its not suppose to rev that low is it!! 950-1050rpm!!
it resonates the car otherwise if the revs drop that low!!

dicko's right. adjust the idle and try a slightly thicker oil. you never know, it might help.

The ideal idle speed is 850 - 950rpm

cheers lads, it idles on 800/1000rom now and its fine :D

but ... making plans for 1.4sr come summer :D:D:D
