View Full Version : Suspension top mounts
I was looking to clean up my standard top mounts as they're a bit crusty with rust. What would be the best way to do this? I was going to use the vinegar trick but one piece has a rubber insert and the other has a ball bearing thing. Are these removable?

It looks like both should push out downwards.

The rubber is fixed but the bearing should come out as its shown as a seperate on EPC.
Just use a wire brush or wire brush drill attachment & strip the rust off. Then treat it with some anti-rust, then Zinc primer & then Satin Black it.
Pillar drill, and a wire brush attachment. Does it a treat :D
Makes sense, I had bought a load of vinegar for such a thing and have yet to use it lol Wire brush/drill it is
Just get a set of concentric mounts, they are alloy and look ace.
