Finally started fitting the GTE engine on twin carbs into my SR today, thought I had all the bits I needed (boy was I wrong!). Took the 1.4 SR engine out and started adding the bits to my GTE one, but when I went to fit the mechanical fuel pump there was no hole for it to go through on the camshaft housing! do I need an electric one, or would it just be a case of getting a GTE fuel tank? do I need any other bits to go with it, and hoe do I go about wiring it up?:-/

cheers lads!

there is prob a frost plug type cover in the hole. use the sr rocker box. you'll need to swap cams. once the dizzy is off you'll see 2 screws, open them and the holder sides out. the cam slides through then and out the dizzy end :D

yup as he says, but make sure the gte cam actualy has a drive for the fuel pump 1st!
no need for electric fuel pumps, and anybody that says u need one doesnt know what there on about

u also need a restrictive fuel T piece for the carbs to keep the fuel presure up on the way to the return line
