I had a phone call today from the bank I'm with(natwest) just to tell me I'm ?2.38p over my overdraft limit, and that I'm to add the ?2.38p to my account as soon as poss. Do you think they was having a slow day or something so they thought they'ed pick on someone?:roll:lol

Thats crap, they'll probably charge you aswell. I once got a letter from my local council saying my garage rent was in arrears by 2p!! It cost them 28p for a stamp to send it

lol i had a recording on my machine a few days back asking me to phone the bank asap as my balance has changed in a strange way??? I called them straight away only to find that its because someone has a similar bank number to mine and they wernt sure witch one they had to change. All that worry because they couldnt sort out a small problem?? wtf

at least they told you - my bank would just send me a letter charging me ?35 overdraft fee and continue charging me ?35 every day for 3 days. So by the time I receive the letter I'd be ?105 down!

Luckily Ive not seen one of these feckers for a long time...proud to be in credit - at the moment...

Natwest have been pretty good to me in the past - I've been contacted about impending overdraft problems (a DD that was due in a couple of days that would have put me over my limit, but I was planning on paying in a wad of cash to cover it anyway), and also when I bought some car audio online totalling >?600, the bank contacted me just to check it was a legit purchase.

i had problems a while back with hsbc, i was always over my limit and they kept charging me..making me more over my limit. vicious circle.

in the end i had to sell one of my cars to clear my debts.

the next day i walked into the branch, and asked to speak to an advisor. i had a grand in cash and told her id like to pay it in to clear my overdraft. first question she asked.....'can i ask were you've got this money from?'

i was like ..'no you cant, its none of your business'

she refused point blank to take it!
i assured her it was nothing dodgy, that i just didnt see why i had to explain myself about were my money comes from. i mean what the hells it got to do with them?!

i now bank happily with barclayslol

Just become a student, the overdrafts are just part of your savings (or lack of) . Plus you don't really get charged for anything !
