Just follow the speedo cable into the gear-box.

sorry didnt read it properly am i write in saying im gonna need more than 5 inch's of cable coming out the tranducer as thats all ive got.

Yeah, just extend them with extra wire soldered on to them.

I took my ignition live from the back of the fusebox, grounded it behind the dash (only accessible with the dash off), and obviously took the speedo sender to the dash. I took them through the hole left by the original speedo sender.

sorry to hijack, but can you tap into the live and earth to the clocks for the transducer? or is it best to do it as above ^^?

Yeah you can do.
But the clocks Ignition live has quite a lot of strain on it with a digidash fitted(4 wires going to 2 thin wires......)
