digi dash help needed.

right a few question before i tackle the job of fitting my digi dash 1 how long roughly will it take and should i solder or will i get away with insolating taping putting the wires together and can someone explain where the gearbox sender fits so im not hunting around for ages this will be the first dash ive done (obviously)

If you're choosing between soldering the wires or just twisting them together, solder them (then tape)!

Sender is on the back of the gearbox, it's a simple job to unscrew the original and screw the new one in, just a case of wiring the 3 wires to the correct places.

would those be the three spare wire i have coming out of the black plug or do those three wires serve no purpose?

The three wires coming from your gearbox plug are the speedo sender - you do away with the speedo cable from your original clocks and use those wires instead.

One goes to the digidash (blue/red?), ones goes to ground (brown) and one goes to ignition live (black).
