give dangerous advice like that again and get banned.

coilsprings (google them) can make V low springs but tbh the rear end should be turreted etc to get full travel with low ride height otherwise its gonna be hideous to drive.

rears can be safe to chop, if theres no way they fall out and youve got up-rated shocks itl be fine. illegal though.

where did you get the rsx kit from? get it cheap?

have you got stripped interior?if so it wont lower alot due to no weight there.
if not remember to let it all settle in first too

Cutting the spring can damage its integrity, as well as fcuk up its loading and recoil rates. At best the car will still have all the bounce and roll of a standard springs, so no doubt catch the wheels and handle like a drunk llama on crack; at worst the springs could shatter or collapse and cause a crash. Ill advised IMO.

I heated up my old rear springs with a propane torch whilst they were compressed in the vice. It collapsed them to a -80mm drop, and they stood the test of time too...

but once you go beyond a certain drop it can have dire effects on handeling not just practicality though??? i was told my -60s would cause issues, they seemed okay to me.

lol @ ruler. Blantantly robbed from some form of educational establishment. I work in schools all the time, i have huge stacks of them, as well as the ole yellow and black pencils.

Anyway, back on topic, any more than a 40mm drop will have a detrimental effect on handling imo, however, such things can be compensated for via proper wheel alignment and correct spring poundage / shock setup. Ive got the SR dropped 60mm and it handles fine with uprated shortened shockers. You are getting dangerously close to the bmp stops over 80 though lol

mine handles like a dream, got spax rsx's on front, those springs at back with spax shocks. speedlines with 195 40 continental tyres.
