ok i will be buying a rollcage soon but!!!!
dont know which one to go for as in safety devices or sparco..
do the safety devices one's come already painted as the sparco one's dont.
and it's a bolt in type i'm looking at.
anyhelp grateful..

Yeah, second hand ones are a little dodgy if there out of a comp car

Get a weld in one & 6 point if you can manage it.

yeah was gonna get 6 point anyways bud..
is weld in better than bolt in even if its being tagged ?

Weld in is permanent I guess, though I cant see a problem either way. However to do a good job of fitting it you want to weld in 'cage fee' which are spreader plates designed to dissipate any force. Eg if you rolled the car the cage if absorbing impact may peirce the foor pan & not do much protecting. By having the feet they spread the force accross a larger area.

Its all part of a neat installation.

If using for competition/even want to sell for competition use a "bolt in cage" MUST have bolts in the holes even if its welded in.

just phoned up about cage they are looking for just over ?600 inc vat for 6 point one.is this right or to much?

better price plus i can get it powder coated to a colour of my choice.

i got a omp one off deemon tweaks and the front legs hit the roof had to chop them by a inch an half and also we had to make a bracket for the back only one to get it to sit level so beware on some of them

i got a full fabricage one made up for nova top quality cage and came painted black might take a few weeks to come through as they are made to order
