Whats best in nova?
How will a nova with c20let and 270-300bhp be to drive?
Using a c20xe now, but should I go for a LEt or TB's on mye xe together whit new camshafts and exhaust. what power will I get with TB's, 280 camshaft.
Can I run on standard ECU or do I need to get electomotive or something else?

Tb'd XE around 200/220hp(depending on headwork)
It wont run on a standard ecu.

Let is 204hp as standard, that can easily be upped to around 280hp with Phase chips tho, and a intercooler/changed fuel pressure.

What are you plans for the car? Trackcar Or just everyday road?

its a everyday roadcar, but will be used on trackdays also.

It will be fittet with a Irmscher sprint kit and coilovers.
Rollcage will also be mounted.
LET runs 316bhp with EDS phase 3+ on a good engine

well imo a tb'd car will be less drivable than a turbo on the road. Mine drive perfect around town, off boost just feels like a standard 2lt. An before anyone meantions lag, lets not forget that an engine with throttle bodies ect.. wont be making it power until about the same revs a turbo will be, just the turbo will have a bigger increase in power an hence feel a bigger surge of power.

And a turbo motor makes a shedload more torque, and its power is at a more road friendly rpm.

Go for a LET. However I disagree with you Phil a engine running TB's will not have any noticable problems with low down power.

EDIT: ENEM - take a look at some of my vids if you want to know what TB's sound like. Also clickme (http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=-4365796575818683730) for what they sound like from another car. About 45secs in to the vid you will hear them.

im not saying they dont have low end power but im saying that a turbo will probably be the same but you notice a big hike in power when it comes on boost if that makes sense lol

imho you either want a keenly tuned XE OR a sedate LET if tracking it... too much torque will light up the inside wheel (less so with a plate diff, but its still an issue)

noise/big power numbers etc etc mean fack all on track... you want the noise to a minimum really otherwise tracks start turning you away, and huge power dosent always mean faster laptimes.

Think I go for LET, so then I need to take a tour over too UK and find a calibra turbo so I can take that home too norway.
A let cost about 2000? here:(
Anyone know about a calibra turbo near newcastle??
Engine and leather have too be nice.
Please PM me if someone knows about a cali, or nova with c20let. I buy it all :)

Check out about the import duty, as that may make less favourable especially with the cost of moving the donor vehicle factored in.
