After about 3 months of my engine conversion/breakdowns/more breakdowns its finally working (for 3 days now:thumb: ) i decided to give it a wash and take some pictures.

Traffic cop turned up for a look too. He told me it was brilliant i had put a 2ltr in it, lol! He came over to see what i was up to, told him i wanted some good pictures of it while it was clean he didnt even ask me about insurance or anything. Was more interested in what suspenion it had :)

very smart dude!

Fair play to the copper, its a nice clean, well presented car tho, so if i was him a) i wouldnt bat an eyelid and b) id have a nose at the spec lol

That looks stunning, only thing tho is the rear grab handle.
Quick coat of hurricane grey just to finish the look. :cool:

Nice car, love the white MO's, but as Mr.Mince said, the grab handle needs painting, white though imo...
I've alway's found with the Police, if you talk to them nice, they talk back nice...but if you shouting etc, then they will find something illegal on your car..

No photos of the conversion happening, got some of the engine bay at the moment but its not very tidy. Having the covers etc sprayed up, still need to connect up the heater matrix.

Thanks for all the comments glad you like it. Answer a few comments, i was considering gold wheels but now decided to go anthracite or gloss black. The rear grab handle is being removed, I got an early mk1 boot which im smoothing the lock off. All taking time but it will get there in the end. I cant imagine what the old lady that owned it from new would do if she saw it now. She owned its from new with full annual services/mots. Garaged all its life and had clocked a huge 6k miles when i got.
