1.3SR in a 1.2?

If i was to get a 1.3SR engine, would it drop straight into my 1.2? Has anyone tried this? Also wondering whether id need to upgrade my gearbox or anything else apart from brakes etc?

get a 1.3 sr withg gearbox, exhaust and inlet manifold, and yea, it will be a straight swap!!

either a 1.3 sr or a 1.4 sr, should both be easy to come by, were abouts are you and how old are you?

ideally id want the old 1.3sr engine - think these are the quickest before you get to the GTE's etc, am i right?

Im 21 and from Norwich, only started driving at 20 tho! Have had the '89 1.2L for a year and its slooooowwww, but the body is in good condition so id want to keep that and make subtle upgrades. Then hopefully would look like a 1 or 1.2 litre, but go like an SR :)

These are on ebay all the time usually for about ?50-?75 a lot say the 13s are faster!
Really easy to do and are fairly quick,if your mechanically minded you can do this in a couple of hours its that simple!
