Rust!(again)

right, i've had the car a year now and i've allways had the problem of rust falling down into the footwell by the pedals. its never bothered me b4 cos it was only little pieces every so often. but 2day i found a rather large chunk (bout 2in square) and its put the shits up me. is it the battery tray? and if so can you buy these or will it have to be cut out and plated over? cheers 4 any help :O

yes you can buy them i got one for about 8 quid from a local panel supplier

had a good look round 2day and where the accelarator pedal goes through in to the engine bay is rusted and is flaking off. arrrgggggh!! what the fcuk do i do??

this is all the battery tray area
get new tray
remove carpet and trim etc
and take to garage to have new panel fitted
