which wire would i use? is it the black one?
just wondering if i could run a live from the batery, through a switch and in to the black wire?
You earth the fans earth terminal to switch it on(its already supplied with an ignition live on the other terminal)
Take the two wires from the temp sensor on the side of the rad (brown and brown with a white trace). SPlice a wire into each of these and run them both to the dash and fit a switch between them. Thats the simplest way to do it IMO.
Make sure the wire you use is man enough too. Lol

right, the way ive just done it is:-
there's 2 wires coming out of the fan motor. the brown one is the negative, i choped that, added a wire from it to a swith on the dash and earthed it under the dash and it all seems to be working fine.
thanks for your help anyway fellas. hope this thread will come in usefull for other people. ;)
I would have spliced into the wire tbh, so the switch in the radiator still turned the fan on if ever you forgot to or something.
yup, what youve done is bypass the thermostat, so now if you forget to turn it on, you'll over heat lol

gay, the engine is over heating anyway atm, will stick the fan on from the word go most probably
Hmm, id sort the overheating instead of relying on a fan.
as above, fix the cause, not the problem
