Finally found the time to wash the car and put some pics up. Tried to keep it as original as possible with a few subtle changes. Engine completely standard, here's the before and after:)

Been there done it, this was a 1.6 turbo (sorry didnt ever take photos of the engine bay), being a day to day car got really frustrationg as it was slammed and all, was gonna do the same to the F-reg but leaving it as it is as its more user friendly with standard suspension:) Driving it in between driving diesels makes it feel fast every time you get in it so shouldn't get bored. :)

Yes exterior was fully striped, new vinyls and set of decals, Vinyl corporation for the 3-5 yr dark grey on the posts and used the matt black 8-10yr vinyl from the 9800rs brochure by Mactac for the bootlid. Do a yell.com search and you should be able to find distributers local to you. Hope this helps.

Unfortunately yes, the car was a rotter when I bought it, so its had new wings all round and a front lower valance. A considerable amount of welding around the car, in the boot usual place was also required. Car has been completely wax oiled underneath including outsides of the inner wings.

Not planning to sell thanks, took me ages before i found this one. Good luck with the search!

Thank you all very much for your greats comments on the car. The inspiration was a vision I had to re-create the car in its standard form with a few moderm touchs. If i was a few years younger i probably would have modified it further lol, but no seriously after it was finished looking at it i just thought its fine just the way it is, quite subtle but those with an eye for detail will know the difference i.e. the rear wiper arm, rear head rests, indicators, GB plates and roof ariel, nothing to OTT.

Yes i am chuffed with it, not many standard GTE's around anymore so, glad the car has changed some peeps minds and may have even twisted their arms into to having a MK1 instead. For me MK1's have always been king, but yeah kind of know what you mean about the sweeky dash which i have begun to experiencelol might take the screw out and stick some locktight in them to reduce the noice. And no will be keepin it just the way it is.

Once again everyone, thanks very much. :thumb:
